Delete your Tako JLPT account

Option 1 — In the app (Android, iPhone, web)

1. Open Tako JLPT and sign in.
2. Go to Profile (Cá nhân) → Account (Tài khoản) → tap Delete account (Xoá tài khoản).
3. Re-confirm who you are: enter your current password, or tap Confirm with Google if you use Google sign-in.
4. Type XOÁ (or DELETE) in the confirmation box and tap Delete permanently. You are signed out on every device.

Option 2 — Can't sign in?

• Forgot your password: reset it via Forgot password, then follow Option 1.
• No longer have access to the email or Google account: email support@takolingo.com with the subject “Account deletion request Tako JLPT” and the email you registered with — ideally from that address. We will verify you own the account (for example by sending a code to that address), delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.

What is deleted

• Account information: email, name, hashed password, Google link, profile picture.
• All progress, answers, exam attempts (including archived ones), flashcards, review history, ability estimates, goals, settings and OTAFF data.
• Every session (all devices are signed out), verification codes, sign-in history for your email, and rate-limit counters tied to your account/email.

Deletion is permanent, takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.

What is kept (and for how long)

• One non-identifying log line: time of deletion, confirmation method (password/Google), account age in days and number of rows deleted — no email, account ID or IP.
• Technical database backups (D1 Time Travel) expire automatically within 30 days; we do not restore deleted accounts from backups except to recover from a system failure, in which case your account is deleted again.
• Cloudflare system logs (which may contain IP addresses) are deleted within 7 days.
• Emails you sent to support: at most 12 months.
